An electronic signature, or e-signature, is a legal way to get consent or approval on electronic documents or forms. Just like a handwritten signature, your e-signature indicates that you agree to the contents of the document. It’s a fast, convenient, and secure way to sign documents without having to print them out.
E-signatures are legally binding in most countries, including the United States, the European Union, and Australia. In fact, the European Union’s eIDAS regulation explicitly recognizes electronic signatures as a means of binding a contract.
